When Pictures Come Alive is not an ordinary children’s storybook.

Every illustration in this book was originally hand-drawn by Muhammad at just 2 years and 11 months old.

Rather than creating fictional stories separately, each story is based on Muhammad’s own narration of his drawings. As he described what he saw and imagined in each picture, his mother gently adapted those words into simple, child-friendly language while preserving his imagination and ideas.

Because these stories come from the perspective of a very young child, you may notice that they don’t always follow the structure of a traditional story. And that’s exactly what makes this book special.

It is a genuine collection of a toddler’s imagination, curiosity, creativity, and early thoughts—preserved forever through his own drawings and words.

This is more than a children’s book.

It is a piece of childhood, captured just as it was.
